The relevance of studying this issue is determined by the need to define who the real hero is. Nowadays the concept of «heroism» is constantly discredited in modern society. We often consider people as heroes those who have nothing to do with heroism. The «heroes» always flashing on the pages of newspapers, magazines, TV screens are politicians, show business stars and so on. As a rule, they do not deserve it at all. But no one will ever be able to abolish eternal values, just as the concept of true heroism, the main feature of which is self-sacrifice in the name of people.
Personally, I think that the heroes are ordinary people. They do not blow their own trumpet about what they have done or what they can do. We meet every day with such heroes on the way to school, university, work without knowing about their feat. To be more precise, true heroes of the 21 century are doctors who save lives every day; teachers who give themselves wholly to children; parents who bring up adoptive children in addition to their own in love and respect, while not demanding anything from anyone; military sacrificing themselves while preserving our lives and peace; police guarding repose on our street. Such heroes can be listed endlessly. However, it is clear that not all representatives of the above professions are worthy people.
There are other heroes, people who will not pass by someone else’s misfortune. These heroes can even be us. After all, help is needed in different situations. You can save a person or animal from fire or just give a miracle inspiring faith in a better future.
Hero will cover everything that surrounds him at that moment when he feels his needs. Sometimes the decisiveness of actions and the inner strength of a person save lives. I think if the heroes had time to think, there would be no heroism at all. Courage, fortitude, willingness without thinking to help people in difficult times are the same eternal values that distinguish heroes from cowards in all ages. These examples are devoted to the heroes of our time, to real, and not to fictional citizens of our country. Those people who do not remove the incident on their smartphones, and the first rush to help victims not by vocation or duty of the profession, but from a personal sense of patriotism, responsibility, conscience and understanding that this is correct. There are many examples of heroic deeds from our daily lives.
When Nikita Baranov from the village of Tashkinovo, Krasnokamsk District, accomplished his feat, he was only seven. Once, while he was playing with friends on the street, a first-grader heard a baby crying from a trench. In the village they carried out gas: the dug pits were flooded with water, in one of which a three-year-old Dima landed. There were no builders or other adults around, so Nikita himself pulled the choking boy to the surface. A first-grader saved a three-year-old child from icy water in Bashkiria.
A veteran of the Chechen war Marat Zinatullin who saved an elderly man from a burning apartment distinguished himself in Mordovia. When he witnessed a fire, Marat Zinatullin acted like a professional firefighter. He climbed the fence on a small barn and climbed to the balcony from it. He broke the glass, opened the door leading from the balcony to the room, and penetrated inside. The 70-year-old landlord lay on the floor. The pensioner who was poisoned by smoke could not leave the apartment by himself. Marat, opening the front door from the inside, took out the owner of the house to the entrance.
A resident of St. Petersburg Igor Sivtsov was driving a car, and saw a drowning person in the waters of the Neva. Igor immediately called the Emergency Situations Ministry, and then made an attempt to save the sinking girl on his own. Passing a traffic jam, he came as close as possible to the parapet of the embankment, where the drowning woman was carried by the current. As it turned out, the woman did not want to be rescued, she tried to commit suicide by jumping from the Volodarsky bridge. After talking with the girl, Igor convinced her to swim to the shore, where he managed to pull her out. After that, he turned on all the heaters in his car, and put the victim to warm up before the arrival of the ambulance.
The pupils Andrei Ibronov, Nikita Sabitov, Andrei Navruz, Vladislav Kozyrev and Artyom Voronin pulled the pensioner out of the well in the village of Ilyinka-1, the Tula Region. 78-year-old Valentina Nikitina fell into the well and could not get out on her own. Andrei Ibronov and Nikita Sabitov heard shouts for help and immediately rushed to save the elderly woman. However, three more guys – Andrey Navruz, Vladislav Kozyrev and Artyom Voronin – had to be called in to help. Together, the guys managed to get an elderly pensioner out of the well. These are the names of only some of the heroes of the 21st century.
A Tu-154 plane of Alrosa Airlines made a flight on the route Udachny – Moscow on September 7, 2010. A power outage occurred on the board 3.5 hours after takeoff, which led to the shutdown of the onboard navigation systems and fuel pumps. Pilots immediately began to look for an opportunity to land. The Izhma airport was visually detected below. By that time, the airport had not functioned for several years and was removed from the registry. Airplanes, especially those large, did not land on it. But the airport superintendent Sergey Sotnikov stubbornly continued to maintain the runway in working condition, cutting down vegetation, clearing the strip, keeping order. This saved the lives of people and technology. As a result, the plane with 9 crew members and 72 passengers on board landed on the formally closed and unsuitable for it lane. No one was hurt. The title «Hero of Russia» was not given to Sergey Sotnikov, he was awarded several diplomas and a medal of the Order for Services to the Fatherland, II degree. Emergency landing of the aircraft on an abandoned runway was called Izhma miracle.
In summary, I think that definition of the word hero is significantly distorted. The lives and actions of ordinary people can serve as a correct and patriotic example for young people. All in all, I still strongly believe that whether there will be heroes, it depends on us. We are bringing up or will bring up our future – children. All that we lay in them, everything they believe will be waiting for us later because heroes give rise to faith in the heroic.
