In 2002, he was invited to testify before the Ad Hoc Advisory Group to the U.S. Sentencing Commission for amending the sentencing guidelines for organizations to provide his perspective on strategies for measuring the effectiveness of ethics and compliance programs. He has a PhD from Syracuse University in the academic study of religion with a focus on cultural studies and ethics, as well as an MPH that included coursework in program planning and evaluation, instructional design, training technologies, research methodology, and statistics. Finally, Dr. Olson has published several articles in trade and academic journals, including the Journal of Clinical Ethics, on business ethics.
