City in Motion

A photo of Shanghai's Pudong district. 30 years ago, the district was farmland. People would prefer a bed in an another district than a mansion in Pudong. Its only connection to the rest of the city was through an hour long ferry ride. Today, it is the heart of Shanghai's financial district, with some of the tallest buildings in the world directly next to each other.
