Event Description

As part of Carnegie Council's 2014 Centennial projects, Devin Stewart is interviewing dozens of thought leaders and engaging the Council's Global Ethics Fellows on the idea of a "global ethic." Stewart will introduce the concept of a global ethic and its implications for international affairs, touching on issues such as immigration, climate change, and culture--with a focus on the US and Asia. He also will reflect on recent research on the democratization of Myanmar. As Carnegie Council approaches its 100th anniversary in 2014, it is creating a global network of teachers and students. In partnership with the Henry Luce Foundation, Carnegie Council will facilitate collaborative projects between US and Asian professors and students at universities and colleges. Some participating students will have an opportunity to visit the Council's New York City headquarters. Stewart will invite students and teachers to get involved in this exciting new project.
